Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold on Sunday, the 18/12/2011, an open competitive examination for recruitment to the post of Scientific Assistant in Indian Meteorological Department, a Group ‗B‘ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post :

* Scientific Assistant : 465 posts (UR-230, OBC-128, SC-70, ST-37) (PH-10), Pay Scale : Rs. 9300 - 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-, Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree in Science (with Physics as one of the subject)/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications or Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized Institution/ University or equivalent., Age : 28 years.

Combined Graduate Level Examination 2011

Result of Written Result for Calling Candidates for Interview / Skill Test (Other than SI / Compiler & All Non-Interview Posts). Results are made available on the SSC's official website : http://ssc.nic.in/. SSC Results for Combined Graduate Level Exam 2011 announced on 30th September, 2011. Result of written test can be checked here online at the official website of Staff Selection Commission. List of qualified candidates have been issued.

Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Exam 2011 was held on 3rd & 4th September, 2011. Marks of candidates alongwith correct keys will be available on the SSC website shortly.

SSC CGL Exam 2011 Interview is expected to commence from 24th October, 2011. Detailed schedule of Interview will be placed on the website by 15th October, 2011. Qualified candidates who do not get SSC call letter for the Interview by 15th October, 2011, should contact the Regional Office or they can download it from the respective regional SSC website.

The Examination held in April, 2011. SSC Quarterly Typewriting Test was conducted in the April 2011. Result are made available in the Commission's official website : http://ssc.nic.in/.

All those students who have appeared the SSC Quarterly Typewriting Test April 2011 Exam can check the results by logging in aforementionedofficial website.

35 candidates were appeared in the SSC Typewriting Test and 1 candidate has qualified the Typewriting Test. SSC result of the typewriting test for those candidates appeared at SSC (NWR), Chandigarh would be announced later on.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Application are invited for the following Post:-



1. Post Name: Data Entry Operators



* Qualification : 12th pass

* Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs.2400



2. Post Name: Lower Division Clerk (LDC)



* Qualification : 12th pass

* Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs.1900



Age Limit: 18-27 years as on 01.08.2011, for Data Entry Operator and Lower Divison Clerks (i.e. not born earlier than 02.08.1984 and not later than 01.08.1993)



Selection by : Selection is on the basis of a single tier examination on 04/10/2011 with two stage i.e. written examination (Multiple Choice Objective Type) and skill test in data entry/typing on computer at prescribed speed (which will be qualifying in nature). Skill test in Data Entry/Typing is to be administered on Computer only.



Application Fee: Rs. 100/-. No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women and Ex-Serviceman. Fee will be paid only in the form of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” These stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country. Fee can also be paid through State Bank of India either by Challan or on-line payment.

Application in the prescribed format should be send to the Regional / Sub Office of the SSc depending upon the choice of the exam centre by the candidates on or before 16/09/2011 (last date is 23/09/2011 for the candidates from far-flung areas) OR Apply Online at SSC website http://ssconline.nic.in/ from 20/08/2011 to 14/09/2011.
